Mecédoine Garland

Garlands are an easy way to snazzy up a place! For my family, we try to have as many as possible without it looking tacky. So this year I decided to make two different types and the one I am going to talk about in this post is the assortment of fruit and spices hung on a string!

They need to be dehydrated first! I made multiples of the dried oranges and lemons from my previous DIY autumnal post: AUTUMNAL CANDLE DECORATION. Click the link to read it!

So as before I cut lemons and oranges into 1/2cm to 1cm in thickness and set them in an oven to dehydrate for 4-5 hours on 200 degrees Fahrenheit.

Once they were fully dehydrated, I picked up some cinnamon sticks and pinecones to add to the mix.

I cut out some leaves from a paper book ( a good substitute would be some bay leaves) and your choice of string.

The pattern went like this: a pinecone, 2 lemon slices, orange slice, 2 lemon slices, leaves, (repeat), cinnamon stick, leaves, (repeat).

Here is the downloadable link of leaves [1](PRINT)[2](PRINT)
