Face Masks

that don’t break the bank

Over the past 5 years, I have discovered some great face masks that range from $2 up to $62. My skin isn’t the most difficult but I do have sensitivities and is dry to normal. My T-zone tends to break out quite often but mainly are small bumps not noticeable until close up. My cheeks ,under eyes, and forehead tend to be very dry. I also deal with uneven tone and a slowly growing pore situation. So what I like to do is to use a Derma roller after washing the skin with warm water, then putting on my face masks.

The more common ones I tend to use are sheet masks. That is because of the convenience of not having to wash the product off and try to slather on with fingers. I love the Innisfree Korean Beauty Brand because of the simplicity with their products and the price! Their sheet masks come in 2 forms, either a cotton/fiber mask or a silicon mask. Some have two parts to a mask or a single full sheet. My favorite ones out of those are the Rice, Shea butter, tea tree, and honey masks. Rice helps me with my tone by brightening the face giving an even color. Shea butter and honey masks are great for the days I lack moisture. Tea tree is for the problematic spots I have. I tend to use 1-2 every month or so but honestly you’ll see the most results using them a minimum of 5x a week or everyday. Plus they are cheap! They can range from $2-$5 at most and i definitely recommend buying more when they have their crazy sales. Also refrigerate some to help cool down the face!

Another brand I like is Mediheal Skin Masks. They are a little more expensive than Innisfree but have great properties as well. They tend to be a little more potent as well. For me, I like the balance, charcoal, and tea tree mask. All similar to the Innisfree ones but have more ingredients in them. They range from $5-$15 depending if you buy the box or a single mask.

Clay based masks are also a favorite of mine. I love lush masks, they are based off of natural ingredients so they do expire faster than some of the other ones I recommend. They cost roughly between $9-$15. The ones I like the most is Brazened Honey, Mask of Magnaminty, and BB Seaweed. Brazened Honey is good for moisture, exfoliation, and brightening the skin. BB Seaweed is calming and soothing to irritated skin while adding in a bunch of moisture. Lastly Mask of Magnaminty deeply cleans the skin and riding pores of dirt.

The most expensive one I’ve tried and likes was the Fresh Beauty Rose mask. This one ranges at $65 for a tub. It soothes the skin because of the rose as well as toning the skin. It really helps after a good exfoliation or even on a sunburnt kind of hot day.
